REWIND 2023
2023 goes down in our books as super busy from start to finish – lots of events across the country, a new product line and many terrific new customers to welcome. A huge thank you to each of you for making the year exciting, fun and truly fulfilling.
March – What Happens in Vegas…
A crazy fun week in the heart of Vegas with our friends from Steelwrist at CONEXPO/AGG 2023. In March, we joined over 2,000 fellow industry exhibitors, spanning over 2.8 million sq.ft., with a record attendance of 139,000 visitors! Great job to our A&D pro operators for the live equipment demos every day.
The Kentucky Utility Show
Meanwhile, in Kentucky we teamed up with Steelwrist once again for the official Kentucky Utility Expo, coupled with our unofficial, week long, whiskey tour. It is the fastest growing utility show in the country, and a must go to as the industry is transforming through new regulations and sustainable approaches. Next Utility Expo is in October, 2025.
NEHExpo 2023, Working with Attendees
March – Back in New England
The Northeast Hardscape Expo, annually in March, is the largest hardscape trade show in the Northeast. Cheryl and Josh always pull together a fabulous show with the coolest exhibitor products for outdoor living – some of those designs were unbelievable. Think fire, waterfalls, bars, couches, recessed lighting. The Builder’s Competition is a showcase event at the expo along with a really handy Buyer’s Guide.

November – SAME Conference
Donna and Anthony attended the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) Small Business Conference in San Antonio in November. We’ve been extremely active this year in the government space on federal, state and municipal levels, attending several events and contracting with the US Army Corps of Engineers, the Department of Defense, the Air Force and the Bureau of Land Management. Special thanks to Jen for her amazing work last year.
From Texas to England in 4,864 Miles
From Texas, we headed over the pond to visit our longtime friends at Lloyd Engineering. When you work with a manufacturer for over a decade you develop great relationships with the support staff. These guys and gals work hard and have enormous pride for their products. It was well worth the trip just to be able to shake their hands and personally thank each of them.
Since their inception in 1998, M Lloyd Engineering has made extensive investments in technology, machinery, training and research. They now export globally to over 30 countries and received the Queen’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade. The countryside was breathtaking. It was an absolute pleasure to meet and shake the hands of the entire hardworking crew. We were surprised with an award for 15 years of collaboration. The Rotastar screening bucket is the first bucket in the world made with polyurethane stars and now screening in over 30 countries!
15,000 Miles and 18 States
Rotastar Tour America program ramped up this year adding another screening bucket to the tour. These guys travel all over the place spending about 2 weeks at each location. From the Great State of Washington to the rocky shores of Maine, the Rotastar screening buckets have made a lot of new friends. Tour buckets are outfitted to fit excavators from 9,000 – 13,500 lbs.
Our Rotastar Tour America buckets made several stops during 2023 at customer sponsored Demo Days too. HUGE thanks to all of you for hosting us! Elevated Pines, UT, Dig It Excavating, MI, Squared Outdoor, OH, Wright Contracting, NC, Dirt Ninja, NH, Batten DirtWorks, MA
#Pro Tip – Drain Those Fuel Tanks
Extend the life of your fuel water separators, reduce fuel system problems and get better machine performance by draining your fuel tanks every morning before start up. While it should be a morning routine year ‘round, it is critical during the winter season. At the end of the day, grease, fuel up, and keep the tracks clean. To prevent the tracks from freezing to the ground, park on products such as wood or conveyor belts.
