Rotastar
Screening

Bucket

Every load you haul off is money leaving the job. Every load of topsoil or fill you truck back in costs you twice. The Rotastar screening bucket lets your excavator, skid steer, or loader screen material where it sits. What used to be waste becomes clean, sellable, reusable product without a screening plant, extra trucks, or double handling.

Why Rotastar Screening Buckets Solve Your Biggest Jobsite Problem

— THE PROBLEM

Paying to Move Dirt Twice

On most sites, mixed material gets hauled away as waste, and clean fill gets bought and trucked back in. Sending it to a screening facility isn’t much better: you pay for haul-out trucks, processing fees, and buying back the screened product, while your crew waits on loads. Mobile screening plants are heavy and slow to mobilize. Mesh and drum buckets clog in wet or root-heavy material. The Rotastar screens on site with your own machine, so the material you already own becomes the product you would have paid for.

— THE SOLUTION

Screening at the End of Your Stick

Rows of flexible polyurethane stars on rotating shafts push oversize out the front while fines drop through. No pinching or crushing, so rock stays rock and your product stays clean. The large, self-clearing screening surface keeps producing in wet topsoil and clay, even with sticks and roots mixed in.

— THE RESULT

Your Spoil Pile, Now Product

Fewer trucks
material stays on site

No facility fees
no tipping, no buy-back

Less purchased fill
reuse what you dig

Sellable product
clean screened material

Screening Pays. Literally.

Screening isn’t just cleanup, it’s a revenue stream.  Plug in the numbers and find out what a Rotastar could add to your bottom line.

ROTASTAR FAQS

What materials can the Rotastar screen?

Topsoil, fill, rock, roots, vegetation, compost, demolition fines, and mixed waste — including wet and sticky material that clogs mesh buckets.

Will the Rotastar fit my machine?

Models fit skid steers, loaders, and excavators up to 34 tons. We’ll confirm carrier weight, hydraulic flow, and coupling before you order.

Do you provide setup and operator training?

Yes. Every Rotastar comes with setup help and operator training, onsite or virtual, so your crew is productive from day one.

Where do I get Rotastar parts and service?

Directly from A&D Equipment. We stock Rotastar parts in Connecticut and ship nationwide.

Field-Tested by A&D Equipment

Before A&D Equipment, there was LaFata and Son, the second-generation excavating company run by owners Donna and Anthony LaFata. For nearly 20 years, the same three Rotastar screening buckets have worked their jobs, screening hundreds of thousands of yards of dirt. Same buckets. Still running.

Rotastar separates rock, roots, and debris from soil right on site, so crews haul less and leave clean, workable ground. Built in the UK by Lloyd Engineering, offered in nine models for excavators, loaders, and skid steers.

We don’t just sell Rotastar. We’ve run it for two decades.
