Women in Construction Week

March 1-7

Building the Future with Skill, Innovation, and Leadership As we look ahead to 2026, the construction industry continues to evolve—driven by innovation, resilience, and the people who power it. Among the most influential forces shaping the future of construction are the women redefining leadership, craftsmanship, and expertise across jobsites, offices, and boardrooms. Women in construction are no longer an emerging presence—they are essential. From equipment operators and project managers to engineers, safety professionals, sales leaders, and executives, women contribute at every level of the industry. Their impact is reflected in stronger safety cultures, collaborative leadership, and a growing focus on mentorship and workforce development. At A&D Equipment, we recognize that progress depends on supporting the people behind the work. Women play a critical role in equipment decisions, fleet management, safety planning, and operational efficiency, driving smarter outcomes and stronger partnerships. As we celebrate Women in Construction Week, March 1–7, 2026, we honor the dedication, innovation, and leadership women bring to the industry every day. Hosted by NAWIC, this week coincides with ConExpo 2026, the largest construction show in the U.S., highlighting the continued momentum and visibility of women shaping the future of construction.

Partner Spotlight: Zumstein Land Management; All in the Family, 3 Brothers Strong

Peter, Glen, & John Zumstein

This month, A&D Equipment is excited to spotlight Zumstein Land Management LLC, owned and operated by Glen Zumstein and his brothers Peter & John. Glen’s passion for working with dirt started early—during his teenage years, he worked for neighbors, gaining hands-on experience that would shape his future career.

In 2016, Glen officially launched Zumstein Landscaping, landing his first major job overseeing the removal of more than 20 acres of Christmas trees for a neighbor, who was also a developer. From there, the business steadily grew, fueled by referrals and Glen’s ability to take on additional yard work and light excavation projects. As demand increased and the scope of work expanded, the company evolved. In 2025, the business was rebranded as Zumstein Land Management LLC, with a renewed focus on excavation and forest management services.

Zumstein Land Management currently runs a Rotastar Screening Bucket purchased from A&D Equipment. The attachment was initially purchased for a project that required screening a significant amount of rock in a customer’s yard, but it quickly became a game changer. With this bucket, Glen and his team can now take on jobs they previously couldn’t, while also saving customers money by screening and backfilling utilities using material directly on site. That efficiency has been a huge win for both the company and their customers.

Looking ahead, Zumstein Land Management has its sights set on continued growth and they’re hoping the Easter Bunny delivers a Steelwrist tilt rotator to help take their capabilities to the next level!
