Blattner Energy
The Xcentric Mining Rippers are built for one thing: ripping rock—and doing it all day, every day.
Blattner Energy currently has multiple Xcentric Mining Series Rippers working in the field in the Midwest on the $11 billion SunZia wind and transmission project, the largest renewable energy project in the Western Hemisphere.
As we know, it’s always about having the right attachment for the conditions. In their rock, conventional methods weren’t cutting it, with crews averaging about 300 feet per day. After switching to the Xcentric Rippers, production jumped to 1,000 feet per day—a massive increase in output and efficiency.
Equipment Driving Results
When conditions demand maximum power, the Xcentric Mining Rippers deliver. Built to handle continuous rock ripping, these attachments have transformed productivity on challenging job sites like the SunZia project. By replacing conventional methods, crews increased output more than threefold—turning slow, labor-intensive work into a faster, more efficient operation and proving the impact of having the right tool for the job.
